Merci Karl!

I just finished reading this book telling the story of Arnaud Maillard on Karl Lagerfeld's side. He worked for Karl for 15 years. It gives a very good insight of the fashion world. What is behind a fashion show, how the collections are prepared and how the people work. Everything has to be perfect and everyone's permantly under pressure. You don't get to know to many things about Karl Lagerfeld, more about his work. And how he works and the way he treats his employees. I liked the book because you really get to know how it works behind the scenes. I don't know wether I could persist under such hard terms. I recommand evryone the book who wants to know more about the fashion world. Besides I think Karl Lagerfeld is a  genius in his work. He works 24 hours a day and doesn't have a private life. His life is his work.

thinking..

I've been thinking about my blog. This is not exactly what I'd been expecting what it should be like. I hadn't wanted it to be so superficial just talking 'bout people and what they are wearing.. I wanted to discuss about fashion to know what other opinions of fashion are. But sometimes I also find it difficult to express myself in English as it is not my mother tongue. I'll try to improve my posts in the future and not limit myself to a minimum of text. And to such superficial topics.

Lourdes Ciccone

Lourdes Ciccone, Madonna's daughter who's just 13 years old is becoming a real fashion queen. And now she started her own blog to promote her clothing line "Material Girl" which she created with her mother. The clothes are not too expensive and fashionable. I like her blog because she also writes about her daily life and her interests and thoughts. Here's the link for her blog. What do you think about it?

Like a gypsy

                                             'Cause I'm a gypsy
                            Are you coming with me?

I might steal your clothes
And wear them if they fit me
I never made agreements

Just like a gypsy

Bad choice

Today I went to city and I was trying the "underwear as outerwear" trend. You could see my bra. Wearing a lace top plus a military skirt. And I really regret doing it. At first I went to a book shop where there weren't so many people looking at me. But later when I walked through the city everybody looked at me. Every single man stared at me. I mean I don't even have boobs? But it felt terrible. I felt like a whore.
And I think this trend was not made to actually wear in the streets. Cause most people don't
know it's fashion. I even put my glasses on I usually loathe to look more well-behaved. I think I'll never try to show my underwear in public again ; )

Usually I dare quite a lot concerning trends. Sometimes it works but sometimes also not as in this case. But I'm always open for new things. What about you? Would you dare show you underwear as outerwear?

Summer in the city

Purchases from today:

A lace top to do the lace + underwear as outerwear trend. Bought it in Zara.

Fendi S/S 2010

Flowerskirt from Zara.

Jumper from H&M which I'd like to style Alexander Wang alike.
I absolutely loved the Alexander Wang collection! Sporty but yet fashion. And I like those braids a lot but my hair is not exactly as long as the models's so it doesn't look just as good, but I do my best ; )
